Everything we know about this world is measured in terms of time, space, or matter.

“In the beginning (time), God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter).” Gen. 1:1

Earth viewed from space with swirling galaxies in the background. Africa and the Middle East are visible, with blue oceans and white clouds.

Man was created for Paradise

Given free will, Mankind could choose, imagine, and produce—a powerful foundation for all that would follow: the arts, literature, engineering, and countless other achievements. He had direct, constant access to his Creator, God, and absolute dominion over Earth. In this perfect world, death, sickness, sorrow, and troubles didn't exist. He was productive and energetic, just as God had intended, and God delighted in him. His one solitary boundary was clear: "Don't eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil." Sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? When we have free will, nothing is simple. We are all the products of our choices.

Man loses paradise

Then came the temptation, whispered by Lucifer, the "little 'g' god." Given the sacred gift of free will, Man chose to defy Yahweh, the one true "big 'G' God." The consequences were immediate and catastrophic: he lost his unbroken communion with God and his God-given dominion over the earth, sacrificing all its benefits, including the promise of eternal life. A sinful nature now marked him. The solitary way to reclaim Paradise, to bridge the chasm created by disobedience, lay in the blood sacrifice of the Universe's purest being—God's only Son, Jesus Christ. This incredible rescue plan is laid out for us in God's Word, our infallible owner's manual.

Man regains Paradise

But even in our fallen state, God's love for Mankind remained steadfast. He extended to us a path to deliverance, yet a profound price had to be paid to reclaim us from the grip of eternal death. It was Jesus who willingly went to the cross and endured death once and for all to utterly wipe away every single sin, past, present, and future. Just try to wrap your mind around that incredible truth! His sacrifice wasn't an option; it was the divine requirement for our ultimate redemption. This was a gift from God, freely offered for anyone to accept. And once received, once we confessed our sins and believed in His death and glorious resurrection, it became a permanent, eternal reality. We were, in essence, included in that spiritual rebirth the moment we declared Him our Lord and Savior. Here on Earth, our lives are measured by time, space, and matter. But in eternity, our very being is calibrated by entirely different standards: God's boundless grace and His never-ending love! Ah, yes. Paradise. Welcome home.
