The Finer Print
40-day Devotional Books

The first step taken by Man outside of Paradise began his walk into a fallen world. He would soon discover that it would become a world of pain and anguish, a world filled with disease and death, both physical and spiritual. Each man, woman, and child hereafter would be born with the stain of iniquity. Our whole life would be spent living along the rugged terrain of destruction and decay. We were bound together as a people yet simultaneously driven apart. Clans were separate from tribes, and entire populations became segregated, all caused by the destructive powers and fragmentations of sin!
Excerpt from The Finer Print - Volume 1, Day 37: Healing
1 Peter 2:24
"He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we may die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed."

Can any of us remember the first time our belief in something was shattered when the ones we trusted were caught in a lie? “What’s this I hear about no Santa Claus, Mom?” That first time could have been an object lesson from loving parents. They meant it to be a simple example of what to expect from the world at large, with severe warnings attached for future let-downs. How could they know so much about it if they hadn’t already learned the same lesson, probably the hard way?
Excerpt from The Finer Print - Volume 2 , Day 35 - "Trust"
Jeremiah 17:7-8
"Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is."

How many battles have been fought since the beginning of time? How many wars? How can the death and destruction that resulted from all of the needless aggressions of Man be measured? The exact answer to these questions doesn’t matter; the result is still a waste of human lives. Wars are still being waged to this day. And because of the sheer number of conflicts, humanity has developed war into an art form. Hostility, al la Sun Tzu! Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Genghis Kahn, Napolean Bonaparte, Ulysses S. Grant, and Adolph Hitler played blood-chess with entire generations. Depending on who or when you asked, they were all intensely loved or passionately hated.
Excerpt from The Finer Print - Book 3, Day 20 - Joshua 1:9
Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Here we are. Right smack dab in the middle of the World stage. Welcome to Earth. Stand on your mark, please! Now, take a minute and evaluate yourself. “How are you doing in the World today?” Perhaps you are living your life “just trying to get older,” like a 94-year-old friend used to tell me. “How do you feel today?” Well, that all depends on how well you know the person asking that question. You might be reluctant to share completely and honestly, afraid of transmitting the dreaded “TMI” syndrome. (Too much information!)
Excerpt from the Finer Print - Book 4, Day 13, Romans 12:12
Roman 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
