He told them of a farmer who went out to his fields, sowing only the finest, purest wheat seed. But under the cover of darkness, an enemy crept in and scattered a different kind of seed among the wheat—a poisonous weed, a tare, that looked almost identical to the young wheat stalks. Its wicked work done, the enemy vanished into the night.

However, weeds naturally stifle and suffocate anything nearby, and that's precisely what they did: they strangled the life out of the plants!

Let every trap be their grave; every trick be their tomb; every con be their crypt. Put an exclamation point in front of their burial chamber, Lord. Let the hunters become the hunted, Father. Let these birds of prey be shot with the arrows made of the feathers from their own bodies. Let sin overthrow sin.

The word "repentance" has lost its potency for most people, even Christians. It's been sidelined and disregarded for far too long. Why? Because repentance demands remorse and shame, forcing us to confront our flaws and failings to ourselves, our families, and friends. That’s pretty embarrassing! We don’t want to look like fools.
