Author, Novelist, & Inspirational Writer
"Life is a beautiful melody composed by grace and sustained by a faithful God. Along this daily path, I am always anchored by the enduring gift of my family, whose love and laughter make this journey complete. Looking back on a life so richly blessed, I know that true harmony is found only by resting safely in His sovereign grace."

A Few More Crumbs
Where can you buy Brain Crumbs and the rest of my books?
You can find both volumes of Brain Crumbs, along with Ghosts in the Glades, at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and other national retailers. My other books are available exclusively on Amazon. I try to keep it simple so you can shop where you already like to browse.
What book formats can you choose from?
You can find my books in ebook, paperback, and hardcover formats, depending on the title. The first volume of Brain Crumbs - Spillage from an 80-year-old head is also available as an audiobook through Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Apple.
What inspired the setting for Ghosts in the Glades?
"I’ve always been drawn to the rugged, early days of the Florida frontier. The Everglades of the early 20th century was a place where civilization faded away and nature ruled—making it the perfect backdrop for a mystery. By blending the raw, untamed beauty of the swamps with the rich history of the era, the Glades almost became a character of its own, holding onto the secrets and 'ghosts' of those who first tried to tame it."
How can you use these books and devotionals in your study time?
You can use them for personal reflection, journaling, prayer time, or small-group discussion. I wrote them to give you something thoughtful to read, sit with, and talk over. And if a passage stirs up a question or two, that’s usually a good sign you’re in the right place.
What’s the difference between a biblical meditation guide and a daily devotional?
Think of the devotionals as a short daily check-in, while the meditation guides invite you to slow down and stay with Scripture a little longer. The devotionals are meant to encourage and steady you, and the meditation guides are meant to help you reflect, listen, and let the passage settle in. Same faith-filled direction, just two different routes to get there.
What will you find on the Don Vitalle Ministries blog?
You’ll find Christian essays, biblical reflection, encouragement for everyday life, and devotionals that point you back to God’s grace and hope. I like to write about the kind of faith lessons that show up in ordinary moments—the sort that sneak up on you while you’re making coffee or washing dishes.
Who are your daily devotionals written for?
They’re written for Christians who want a steady dose of encouragement, reflection, and Scripture in their day. Whether you’re just beginning your faith journey or have walked with the Lord for years, my hope is that the devotionals feel like a quiet companion on the road—something honest, thoughtful, and easy to return to.

Meet the Author
Welcome! I’m Don Vitalle. My journey has taken me from the disciplined world of the U.S. Air Force to the stages of professional music, and ultimately to my true calling: sharing the beauty of God’s grace through the written word.
Living in sunny Florida with my wife, Anne, I spend my days crafting Christian devotionals and exploring the rich, often untold layers of history through fiction. Whether you are reading through Brain Crumbs, diving into The Finer Print or The Psalm Spinner, or exploring the wilderness of Ghosts in the Glades, my hope is that my words serve as a sanctuary for your soul. I strive to create spaces where you can pause, reflect, and tune your heart to the rhythm of faith.
Thank you for stopping by my digital porch. I’m incredibly grateful to share this journey of faith, truth, and storytelling with you.
